Health Insurance Benefits

Workers with malignant and long-term diseases are eligible to receive a two-year extended sickness benefit at 80% of their wages. For male and female workers, enhanced sickness coverage equal to full wage is also available for 7 days/14 days following sterilization.
Benefits related to maternity
As part of the maternity benefits program, three months of maternity leave are provided for confinement/pregnancy, which is extendable by one month on medical advice, subject to contributions for 70 days in the preceding year.
Benefits for disabled people
No matter when you begin insurable employment and regardless of whether you have paid any contributions, 90 percent of your wage will be paid for as long as you are disabled. An individual who is permanently disabled receives a monthly payment at 90% of their wage. permanent disablement based on the extent of loss of earning capacity as certified by a Medical Board.

Benefits for Unemployed
When an insured person becomes unemployed after being insured for at least three years due to the closure of a factory/establishment, retrenchment, or permanent disability under the Rajiv Gandhi Shramik Kalyan Yojana, unemployment allowance is payable.
